veDoyle's room director Trish Salazar circumvented my computer. No joke!

CardsChat Poker Forum - 28 min 6 sec ago
11/20/2008

I decided to spectate the 25k bounty tournament involving Poker legend Doyle Brunson and Michael Caro. Michael Caro told another player to make the call in hopes of eliminating him to win the bounty placed on his head.

In the chat-room, I stated "$500 is chump change in the ashtray of his car". "It is what he tips the hooker while staying at the Wynn". Thereafter, the tournament host and director of Poker operations Trisha Salazar warned me about making such statements in the chat-room. She was less than cordial when engaging me through the chat-room, and threatened to disable my chatting privileges along with my entire account freezing any assets I have.

I told her that just because she is some rich L.A type kissing the asses of these millionaire pros that there was no reason for her to engage me in such a demeaning manner.

Thereafter, my computer screen flickered and my task-bar disappeared then reappeared. The program was closed. In fact, the program was no longer present on my applications list. This program has a hidden self-destruct sequence that can be enabled locally by controlling members of Doyle's room gaming site.

Need more foundation? I contacted supported and got this.
Nancy: Hi, welcome to our Poker Room and Casino.
Nancy: How may I help you?
you: My chat was terminated why?
you: Tell Trish that we can reconcile.
you: No hard feelings.
you: And don't me like you don't know who she is.
Nancy: Trish is host at the final table
you: I know this.
you: She is spiteful. And I want a divorce.
Nancy: ok
Nancy: Is there anything else I can assist you with?
you: Yeah. She locked me out of my account.
Nancy: Can I have your e-mail address, please?
you: mmy screen name is sl65
you: And, and, unless the 2+2 forums wants to hear about how she circumvented my pc, I'd suggest telling her not to do it again.
you: That is unlawful computer manipulation.
Please wait while I transfer the chat to 'Joe Wilson'.
You are not currently in a chat session.
You are now chatting with 'Joe Wilson'
Joe Wilson: hi
Joe Wilson: Joe Wilson here
you: Good evening.
Joe Wilson: your account will not be enabled tonight
Joe Wilson: contact Trish tomorrow
you: Are you aware that she manipulated the software on my computer to make it shut down?
Joe Wilson: yes, she locked your account
you: 2+2 forums will have a field day with this.
you: Because I made a comment about phil hellmouth
you: And a hooker at the wynn
Joe Wilson: do not forget to add you were harassing people at the final table and ignored her warnings
you: I was not harassing anyone.
you: By any means.
you: Being jovial does not constitute harassment.
Joe Wilson: it is a free country
Joe Wilson: you can do whatever you wish
you: I am not trying to be confrontational with you.
Joe Wilson: your account will not be enabled tonight
you: But I find it inappropriate that this program was shut down on my actual pc.
you: Disabling my account access is one thing, but to interfere with my processes of my system.
you: Not ethical
Joe Wilson: talking about ethics
Joe Wilson: anyway
Joe Wilson: you can get back to her tomorrow
you: Please e-mail me the conversation in which I was supposedly harassing members of the tournament.
Joe Wilson: no sorry
you: I would like to have it outlined as to where I harassed anyone.
Joe Wilson: her notes are enough for me
you: Well you have been cordial.
Joe Wilson: now, if you don't have any other comments, I will let you go now
you: One more
Joe Wilson: have a great night
you: I have a question
you: Is she hot?
Chat session has been terminated by the site operator.

Why wouldn't he send me the chat conversation to substantiate my so-called harassment? Because there was none!

This is not about having my account disabled as much as it is about having an unauthorized intruder access my computer through a back-door in the program to disable the process and remove it from my list of programs.

That's called computer intrusion!

Qeestion

CardsChat Poker Forum - Thu, 11/20/2008 - 06:47
I have mainly played tournaments and sngs since starting to play poker but I`m starting try my hand at ring games. I played a short session of .25/.50c NLHE at a 6 handed table last night (mainly because I couldn`t find a 9 seater table at those blinds) and I was wondering what advice you could offer to a relative novice at ring games, especially when playing short-handed (I`m used to playing 9 or 10 seat tourneys/sngs).

Even from that short session I can see that short-handed probably has more potential for profit but would you recommend I play at a full table because that`s what I`m used to or would you say it really doesn`t matter?

Finally what would you consider to be a decent profit per hour at those limits? In limit poker I know I`d be looking to win maybe 3 or 4 big bets per hour, what about NLHE?

Why do people Chop

CardsChat Poker Forum - Thu, 11/20/2008 - 06:19
I was just watching a tournament on stars and there were 4 players left and 1 guy asked if anyone else wanted to chop the prize pool. Why would anyone wanna chop the winnings are they to scared to play. Isnt the whole point of a poker game to battle through all the competiton and be the last person standing? I know if i were playing and someone asked to chop i would be very much against it would you?

Annette Obrestad article in National Inquirer

CardsChat Poker Forum - Thu, 11/20/2008 - 04:41
This article made me laugh so much, especially the underlined parts.
...She when has she been dubbed the 'Miley Cyrus' of high-stakes poker?

She is one of my favorite online players and I think she is just so absolutely cute. She looks really good in the insert picture.

<3 Annette.

EDIT: Sorry about size.

CardsChat Poker Forum - Thu, 11/20/2008 - 01:22
If you are playing in a cash game and you are the big blind and everyone folds except the player on the button who happens to be a super aggressive player and he puts you all in do you call with a low pocket pair?

Advice wanted to get deeper in MTT

CardsChat Poker Forum - Thu, 11/20/2008 - 01:12
I have consistently been getting into the money in the low buy in MTTs. What I am having trouble with is after the money bubble bursts.

My strategy up to this point is to play a fairly tight game, playing only top 50 hands, the play is so bad during the early stages of these tourneys, that I will call all-ins when I have an overpair to the board, knowing they are stacking off with TPTK most of the time. I c-bet almost all the time and more than 80% of the time the player(s) fold to it.

Should I tighten up way more after getting this many chips? Should I not call short stacks all ins with AJ+. Also, should I stop c-betting after a pre-flop raise if I miss the flop? After the bubble, these seem to get called more. I think I am starting to answer my own questions, but any input would be appreciated.

Reaction Clonie Gowen's FTP law suit

CardsChat Poker Forum - Wed, 11/19/2008 - 18:59
I'm sure most of you have heard by now that Clonie Gowen is suing Full Tilt Poker for 40 million dollars. I've researched this a little bit and was astounded to see most of the articles/blog posts on the subject are seriously skewed against her. Of course, I don't know the details of whether or not she ever had an agreement with FTP, but the nastiness this seems to have provoked is very, very surprising to me. Check out the posts from Daniel N. at the bottom of this link:Clonie (Cycalona) Gowen Sues Full Tilt for 40 million dollars

That's just one example of some of the stuff that's being posted. Sure, it's okay to defend Full Tilt if you think they're in the right, but is there really any need to get this personal and ugly?

How much do other poker players make?

CardsChat Poker Forum - Wed, 11/19/2008 - 14:06
I was wondering how much money other players on these this site make, and whether on online poker or live tournaments, and what format.
You need to be able to make roughly $1000 a month to live on.
I've just started playing online, and have made $450 in the last month purely from playing $4.40 sit n gos which I hope to build on.

180 players sit n gos

CardsChat Poker Forum - Wed, 11/19/2008 - 14:00
I've only been playing Poker online 4 months, and I've recently been playing on the Sit N Gos on Pokerstars that are $4.40 entry, with 180 players. I'm doing quite well on these and have decided to just play these tournaments for the moment, as they seem to suit me well, and I reckon it works best to focus on one tournament format.
When I've built up more of a bankroll I may switch to the $11 and $22 sit n gos which have the same format, just higher entry and prize money.
I was wondering if it gets much harder to win on these and if people play much differently.
Are there less donks on the higher sit n gos?
Do people play more conservatively or a bit better?

Weekly round 2 on PS

CardsChat Poker Forum - Wed, 11/19/2008 - 12:44
I played a 3792 pls horse freeroll satellite today and placed 27th.

The first 88 got a ticket for the weekly round 2.

It will be a 2K HENL or Omaha-hi-pl either on saturday or sunday.

Question: Does the ticket stay valid for the next week, too ?

I don't know if I'll have the time to play.

And I'm not that good at Om-hi-pl either.

(though I made it through the horse tourney...:hmmmm:)

...or can I turn in the ticket for something else ?
